As you take a bite, the warm, flavourful soup floods your palate, followed by the tender, seasoned pork. Experience authentic Shanghai flavours, one irresistible soup dumpling at a time.
How to Cook:
1. Place steamer paper on steamer basket and place dumplings on top of the paper.
2. Ensure water is on rolling boil before you place dumplings (in steamer basket) on top.
3. Steam for 9-10 minutes with lid on.
4. Ensure dumplings is piping hot throughout before consumption.
How to Eat Them:
1. Carefully Pick Up: Use chopsticks to gently lift the dumpling without breaking the skin.
2. Bite a Hole: Bite a small hole or use a spoon to catch the soup.
3. Sip the Soup: Sip the flavorful broth inside.
4. Enjoy the Dumpling: Eat the rest, often with a bit of black vinegar and shredded ginger for extra flavor.
They are commonly served with a dipping sauce of Chinese black vinegar and julienned ginger and are a highlight of dim sum or Shanghainese cuisine.
